"Beach Bar Serenade"
By Don Middlebrook
Theres a place on the way to Key West I stopped in for a little rest
Where the moss and the palm trees they both grow
Heard this little Caribbean sound
Right down in the center of town
I rolled into it like a rolling stone
It’s where the water meets the sun
Man, they were having fun
CHORUS
With their Conch Fritters, Margaritas, Caribbean Cowboys, Senoritas
And I just stood back amazed
And heard the band sing, a Beach Bar Serenade
It’s right at Pisces Rising, right on St. Annie’s Island
Where I caught my first falling star
And don’t be surprised if the music fills the sky
You find it’s me there behind the guitar
It’s where the water meets the sun I just had to grab me some
Of those Conch Fritters, Margaritas, Caribbean Cowboys, Senoritas
It’s when the sunset becomes a blaze
The whole town sings a Beach Bar Serenade
BRIDGE
It happens everyday, it can take your breath away
To see the art that the water and the sun they have made
And all those Conch Fritters, Margaritas, Caribbean Cowboys and Mojitas
And the old folks sit back amazed
When the whole town sings a Beach Bar Serenade
Theres a place on the way to Key West I stopped in for a little rest
Where the moss and the palm trees they both grow
Heard this Caribbean sound right down in the center of town
Now I call this place my home
It’s where the water meets the sun I just had to grab me some
Of those Conch Fritters, Margaritas, Caribbean Cowboys and Mojitas
And to this day I’m still amazed
They let me sing a Beach Bar Serenade
